I read a lot during the summer. I used to think it was always because I had more time to read in the summer and while that is partly true I also find myself curled up with a book more during the summer because it reminds me of childhood. I was always an avid participant in the summer reading program at the library. You reminder the ones. You were given a map like piece of paper that was stamped for every certain number of hours reading you had logged.
I have very vivid memories of those sticky summer days were I would walk through the library doors and be greeted with a cool blast of AC, a stamp on my reading log, a pencil or other prize for logging another chunk of hours, and the next installment of the Mary-Kate and Ashley mystery series (don't laugh). As I have gotten older I have found myself still drawn to the library in the same way I was when I was a child.
I currently have Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso checked out. I'm almost done with Gone Girl so expect a review soon!
